EDEN-MONARO WINS WITH REDEVELOPMENT OF TUMBARUMBA CREEK CARAVAN PARK

The Turnbull Coalition Government has signed a contract to invest $1,040,000 to redevelop the Tumbarumba Creek Caravan Park; delivering important local infrastructure and encouraging tourism.

Senator the Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO said the milestone marked an important day for the Eden-Monaro community.

“It’s great to see the progress of this important local project,” Senator Sinodinos said.

“The Australian Government made an election promise to redevelop the Tumbarumba Creek Caravan Park and we are delivering.”

The project will deliver affordable accommodation for increasing visitor numbers, seasonal workers, emergency workers and local hospital staff; involving construction of bedroom accommodation units, new water, sewerage, and stormwater infrastructure, and internal roads and power upgrades.

“This project will create useful infrastructure for workers and local families and support the local tourism economy.

“The Liberal Government invests in local projects to strengthen communities and the economy,” Senator Sinodinos said.

While the Coalition is investing in the project, the project’s proponent will be managing the delivery.
