Senator Sinodinos welcomes agreement on important Paterson project

Senator the Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO has welcomed the signing of an agreement to provide $100,000 to upgrade the Kurri Kurri Sports Ground in Paterson.

Senator the Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO said the milestone marked and important day for Paterson.

“I’m so happy to see the start of this important local project. At the last election the Coalition promised these upgrades for Paterson, and the Coalition delivers,” Senator Sinodinos said.

The $100,000 will be used to upgrade Kurri Kurri Sports Ground including the installation of field flood lights, refurbishment of dressing rooms including tiling, tapware, toilets and locker units; installation of two roof structures over the existing grandstands; new grandstand seating; and the installation of a broadcast box.

Senator Sinodinos said “This project will encourage sports participation at every level by providing better facilities for all local teams including the Kurri Kurri Bulldogs, for local schools and community groups using the grounds, and for the region’s enthusiastic spectators.”

“The Coalition Government invests in local projects because we understand Australia is made of more than big infrastructure.

“I’m proud the Government has funded this project for my local community and am proud to be seeing it through to fruition,” Senator Sinodinos said.

While the Coalition is investing in the project, the Kurri Kurri District Rugby League Club is managing its delivery.
